Accused Rapist On The Loose, Gwinnett Police Seeking Help

Police say Leo Escudero-Olivares physically and sexually assaulted a woman he knew at a Lawrenceville home on April 1.

Gwinnett County Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a man accused of rape.

Leo Escudero-Olivares, 30, has active warrants for rape, aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery, according to the police.

The charges stem from an incident on April 1. Police say Escudero-Olivares raped a woman whom he knew at a home in Lawrenceville.

After he fled the home the following morning, police were called to the scene and met with the woman, they say. She told officers that Escudero-Olivares had physically and sexually attacked her. The case was referred to an SVU unit and arrest warrants were obtained.

Anyone with information about Escudero-Olivares’ whereabouts is asked to contact Gwinnett County Police detectives at 770-513-5300. To remain anonymous, tipsters may contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visit the Crime Stoppers website.

They may also text a tip to “Crimes” (274637). Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
