Citizens Police Academy looking for applicants

There are a few spots remaining for the spring session of the Snellville Citizens Police Academy.

For any who have not taken this class I highly recommend you do. It is not only interesting but also gives you great insight into what our Officers do and what they have to face daily to keep our community safe.  This is a 12 week course, one class every Thursday, and I admit that after I signed up I wondered if I would be able to make all the classes but starting with the first class it was so interesting the time and weeks seem to fly by.

The Snellville Police Department is offering this course in order to strengthen the bond of friendship and cooperation between citizens and police. The Academy also helps citizens gain a better understanding of the risks and responsibilities of officers.

The 12-week course begins March 2 and ends May 18.
