N.C. Teen Missing For A Year Found In Gwinnett

A 31-year-old man is charged with multiple felonies in the yearlong disappearance of 17-year-old Hailey Burns.

DULUTH, GA — A missing North Carolina teen has been found in Gwinnett County and a 31-year-old man is in jail on felony charges related to her disappearance.

Hailey Elizabeth Burns, 17, was found at a home in Duluth late Saturday night. Her discovery came after an FBI agent in Charlotte received information that she was at the home, on Seneca Trail.

Michael Ren Wysolovski, 31, was arrested by FBI agents and detectives with the Gwinnett County Police Department. According to documents from Gwinnett County Detention Center, he is being held without bail on felony charges of false imprisonment, interference with custody, cruelty to children and aggravated sodomy.

In a news release, the FBI said more charges could be forthcoming.

“They are grateful for the outpouring of support they have received while she’s been missing, but they ask for privacy at this time to focus on their daughter,” FBI spokeswoman Shelley Lynch said in the news release.

Burns had been missing from her Charlotte home since May 23, 2016. She was believed to have left home between midnight and 6 a.m. that day.
