SNELLVILLE – The mayor and council approved a plan that makes way for commercial development at Pharrs Road and Scenic Highway Monday.
Called Park Place, the development will sit on more than 13 acres of land and have nearly 49,000 square feet of retail space, the bulk of which will be restaurants along with medical offices and commercial shops.
Developers will pay $215,500 to replace the specimen trees lost due to the inability to build around them.
The hopes are to get the development up and operating “right away,” according to the developer’s attorney Lee Tucker.
Meeting highlights also included:
- Approval of a proposal by Carousel Industries to provide telecommunications services to the city which will result in a savings of nearly $24,000.
