Snellville Honors Its Volunteers

Last Saturday night (Jan. 17th) The Snellville Tourism and Trade Association (STAT) hosted a Community Volunteer and Sponsor Celebration at Summit Chase Country Club. Snellville is fortunate to have an unequaled group of volunteers who step up to help organize and run the many community events STAT hosts throughout the year. STAT also recognized the sponsors who provide financial support throughout the year at all of our events and to all of our sponsors who support our events throughout the year. We could not do what we do without each and every one of them.

Keystone sponsors are Eastside Medical Center and Walton Gas and additional sponsors include The Gwinnett Citizen, E.R. Snell, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Summit Chase Country Club, Kona Ice, Office Depot, Wild Wing Cafe, Tom Wages Funeral Services, Bill Rhodes Bakery and Home Depot.

The evening’s final presentation was for the Marcy Pharris Volunteer of the Year. The recipient of this overall city award is selected from the individual award winners from each organization. This year’s award was given to Kathy Emanuel for the many hours she spends serving the community in a variety of capacities.
